Sungei Kadut Scrapyard

Learning Experience from the Family Automobile & Scrapyard Business

Through hands-on involvement in my family’s automobile and scrapyard business, I gained practical exposure to the end-to-end operations of the automotive trade. This included viewing and assessing vehicles, understanding their condition and market value, and participating in the selling process of cars to different customers and buyers.

I also learned the operational side of the business, such as collecting vehicles, coordinating logistics, and preparing cars for delivery or export. This involved managing car inventory, tracking available stock, and understanding how vehicles are organised based on condition, demand, and destination.

A key area of learning was exposure to container operations, where I observed how vehicles are prepared, secured, and loaded for shipment. This experience gave me insight into export logistics, space optimisation, and the importance of accurate documentation and coordination to ensure smooth delivery to customers.

Overall, this experience strengthened my understanding of automobile trading, logistics management, inventory control, and family-run business operations, while reinforcing the importance of efficiency, trust, and hands-on knowledge in running a successful automotive enterprise.

Al-Wehdah Football Event

I play for Al-Wehdah FC, a Singapore-based Arab football association, where I participate in competitive matches and engage in networking for collaborations and planning future events. Beyond football, I am involved in community initiatives, including activities during the fasting month and donation drives to support those in need. This experience has strengthened my teamwork, leadership, and community engagement skills, while allowing me to contribute meaningfully to both the sports and local community network.
